We hope you had an enjoyable break, and are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of a New Year. We certainly face plenty of those in Carbrooke Church. We have just appointed a new architect, and look forward to working with Ruth Blackman, as we plan for the future. Unfortunately we face our (5 Yearly) inspection at the end of January, which is likely to highlight the amount of work required to keep the building safe and secure.
The PCC has formed a small group to look at ways of making better use of the church within the community, as well as applying for a Heritage Lottery Grant to help us.
We are also looking forward to organising a Village Festival highlighting Carbrooke life, on the weekend of 1st and 2nd of July. We hope all the Village Groups will join with us in celebrating Carbrooke, past present and future, with Heritage displays, refreshments, fun, games and a chance to fund raise.
More details to follow, but mark the date in your diary!
