Carbrooke Academy news – Spring half term

School had a dinosaur day on Friday 10th February, to raise money for Cancer Research. Our very own Dennis from Year 5 co-ordinated the day, which started with a family collective worship and celebration.

The day was fabulously well supported and included family Dinosaur activities, bake sale and a stunning 3 cake raffle. The event raised £318, in memory of our pupil Caleb Mcculloch who lost his fight to cancer, aged 5.

We have also worked alongside the town library, and arranged a pop up library to be in the Church once a month. This will be on the last Thursday of the month, from April (27th) between 2:30 and 4pm. School are also setting up a ‘bring and swap’ book club which is open to anyone in the village. If you have any books you would like to donate, please drop them into the school office.
