New play are opens on the Village Green

The official opening of the new Play area on the Millennium Green took place on November 3, at 2pm.

The ribbon to officially open the new facility was cut by Carbrook Parish Council chairman, Phil Sampher.  Children from Carbrooke School, many of whom had helped with the painting of the new colourful fence, were also at the opening.

Reverend Jane Atkins blessed the playground during the opening ceremony and handed out certificates to the children who had helped.

Lots of hard work has gone into its creation of this new play area, which received a grant of £10,000 form the National lottery,  and it was great to see so many Carbrooke residents turn out. The ceremony was Followed by cake and refreshments in the village hall.
