Carbrooke church news for February

The last couple of months seems to have been particularly hectic, so the start of a New Year, is a good time to take stock and hopefully take a breather before we start making arrangements for future activities.
Thank you to all who supported our events in the lead up to Christmas, and hope you enjoyed your own celebrations over the Christmas period.
We would like to thank the Parish Council for providing the village Christmas Tree which was placed in the churchyard, and really lit up the churchyard, and was in place for the lovely Advent ‘Darkness to Light’ candlelit service.
The Village Bazaar held on the 9th December was well supported and very enjoyable, even though held on just about the coldest day of the year! The event as a whole made over £800, with £350 going to Church Funds. Again the ‘Chanters Jigge’ concert of traditional seasonal music was super, although sadly not a financial success.
The school activities filled the Church for their Carol concert and Christingle services.

We began the new cycle of Church lottery on 17th December, with the addition of some new members, thank you to all who support this activity.
