Wednesday coffee mornings a big success

Over the last few weeks Sue Dekeyzer has been running a coffee morning in the Village Hall on Wednesday morning between 9.30-11.30. The purpose of the events has been to raise funds for the NSPCC as part of her daughter Kirsty's  London marathon run. These mornings have been very well attended with lots of people from the village dropping in for a coffee, natter and a piece of cake.

You can sponsor Kirsty here:

It is hoped that these events will continue to be a regular part of the community calendar so check this site or our Facebook page to find out more!

Kirsty and I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to those friends and neighbours that have helped to make Wednesday mornings successful. All donations, monetary and/or baking are truly appreciated.
If you can’t make it to the coffee mornings, a visit to Kirsty’s page on will give you the opportunity to make a donation and just as importantly, to see her progress with reaching the target set by the NSPCC.
The NSPCC do a huge amount for children and are a very worthy cause.
Hope to see you next Wednesday morning (9.30-11.30am)
    Thank you

Kirsty is now the proud owner of a finisher’s marathon medal yay! Running the whole distance, she crossed the line with a respectable time of 4.49 hrs 🙂
Come along to the coffee morning this Wednesday – add to the NSPCC funds, see the medal and meet other villagers for a relaxed chat and coffee/tea
